Roman E. Finn, M.D. practices Internal Medicine, where he is the Medical Director of the Center For Integrative & Traditional Medicine. Dr. Finn uses mainstream medication, herbal medicine, and homeopathy to treat a wide range of conditions, including immune system disorders, cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, fibromyalgia, depression and musculoskeletal disorders to name a few. He also offers nutritional medicine and weight management programs for individuals who want to lose weight in a healthy way. Dr. Finn is committed to remaining at the forefront of his field by staying on top of the latest technology and advancements in traditional and holistic medicine.
In his practice, he has two goals: to help his patients live longer, healthier lives and to help them be happy while doing so. “What’s the point of living longer if you aren’t happy?” he asks. In addition to the practice of using traditional and holistic medicine, a variety therapies and services are offered at the Center – all founded on his belief that true wellness embraces the mind as well as the body. Dr. Finn says that he listens carefully to the patient’s concerns, whether it is physical pain or psychological and medical problems, because body systems are all connected. He also believes a big part of taking care of the patient is teaching them how to take care of themselves. He adds, the body is very smart and it knows what’s good for it and it will adapt to positive change. “Remember, your body is always trying to save you and be your friend.”
The basis for the practice at the Center For Integrative & Traditional Medicine is that it is very much a heart-based center, with all practitioners working not just from their extensive professional training but also from their sincere caring. Dr. Finn feels that this is vital to supporting his patients in their process of attaining good health and wellbeing.
