Integrative Medicine Doctor Passaic County — Your Physician-Led Alternative to Urgent Care Hopping
Many health issues don't emerge as emergencies – instead they begin as small issues, go unnoticed because no one was monitoring the situation over time, and only become urgent when they are serious. If you are not seeing a regular physician, if it's whoever steps up to the urgent care table at staff-mixed-up spas, or if it's the ER when you can't find anyone else to look after you, then you have no physician who's looking for that pattern. CITM's integrative medicine is exactly that: one health care provider, one patient, and tracking patients' health over time, rather than responding to it walk-in by walk-in.
Integrative medicine is not just for complex or chronic cases; it is simply how medicine should be practiced when a person has an ongoing doctor-patient relationship – a doctor who understands the person, the person’s history, knows what their lab values should look like over time, and uses conventional and complementary medicine together as a single treatment plan, not as a new provider beginning from scratch at every visit.
Integrative Medicine Doctor Passaic County: Meet Dr. Roman Finn
You will be cared for by Roman E. Finn, M.D., the Medical Director of the Center for Integrative & Traditional Medicine. Dr. Finn started practicing traditional and alternative medicine in 1981, using mainstream medicine along with herbal medicine and homeopathic treatments for ailments such as immune system disorders, cardiovascular problems, diabetes, fibromyalgia, depression, and musculoskeletal disorders.
Credentials:
- Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine
- Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management
- Diplomat of the American Board of Disability Analysts
- Recognized in America’s Best Physicians 2021
- World Health Professional Of The Year 2005, Cambridge, England
- Practicing traditional and alternative therapies since 1981
From a continuity of care standpoint, an internal medicine background is exactly what continuity of care needs – Dr. Finn’s training is geared more towards monitoring a patient’s health over a period of years – not just what got them into his office that day.
What a Year of Integrative Care Passaic County Patients Get Actually Looks Like
Visit 1 – The Baseline: Your first visit establishes a true baseline (full history, current labs, medications, and lifestyle) and acts as the new starting point for all subsequent visits rather than a starting point.
Month 3 – The First Check-In: Do not wait a year to review your plan; review early to see if there are any straying trends so you can make some adjustments easily.
Month 6 – Adjusting the Plan: Nutrition, stress management, or additional complementary therapies are changed as needed and not assumed anew during each visit.
Month 12 – A Real Year-Over-Year Picture: Your annual review compares this year’s numbers to last year’s, not just against a generic reference range – the kind of trend-tracking that’s only possible with a consistent doctor.
Integrative Health Passaic County: Is This Right for You?
- You don’t have one doctor you’d call your primary care physician
- You’ve been to urgent care or the ER for something that’s likely been preventable
- At least two or more times, and someone hasn’t been keeping track of whether you’re going up or down in that lab result
- Experiencing a chronic condition and visiting multiple providers almost every visit
- You want complementary therapies to be incorporated into your care, rather than separate from it
Why Passaic County Patients Call CITM the Best Holistic Primary Care NJ Has to Offer
Patients frequently arrive at CITM after having been to the walk-in clinic and urgent-care center for years – never with a negative experience, but never with anyone who knew their history from one visit to the next. It’s the difference between explaining your history from the beginning every time and having a doctor who knows your history. It’s that consistency – physician-led, whole-person, and truly continuous – that’s what makes Passaic County patients more and more talk about CITM as the best holistic primary care in NJ than another specialist office.

I have been going to Dr. Finn's office for over 15 years and I am very happy with the services and treatment I receive. Dr. Finn always listens to his patients and tries to get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. I like that he always recommends using natural and alternative methods first instead of prescribing medications right away. I also go for a physical therapy at his office for my back problems. His physical therapist is very knowledgeable and massage therapists, Galina and Shirley, are the best! They always welcome me with the smile and are very attentive. I would not think of going anywhere else. Keep up a great job Dr. Finn and The Staff!!Posted on Google

Frequently Asked Questions: Integrative Medicine Doctor in Passaic County
Most specialist consultations are aimed at a particular system or a particular symptom. At CITM, Dr. Roman Finn manages your entire health, not just during your visit: labs, chronic conditions, lifestyle and complementary therapies.
Yes. Among the most typical beginning motivations for patients in Passaic County to seek integrative medicine care is chronic disease management – with the distinction that an established condition is managed the same way every year, rather than monitored and adjusted indefinitely.
Yes. Integrative medicine doesn’t involve giving up specialists; they’re not treated separately – your integrative medicine doctor will check in with them as he or she evaluates your whole care plan.
Preventive care is at the core, not the cornerstone. Patients are encouraged to begin an integrative medicine relationship without an active complaint to identify problems before they become urgent for Passaic County patients.
Typical lab testing compares one set of lab results to a typical range. Year-over-year tracking is comparing your results to your own history, the only way to see a trend that you need to address – not from one year’s snapshot alone.
Either one or the other may occur – and one of the most important things to realize about the practice is that it is sustained by an ongoing relationship–most Passaic County patients reap the greatest benefit from using CITM as their regular doctor, instead of an emergency room visit.
Consultations are available to help you begin. After viewing the experience of a coordinated, consistent plan, many patients persist in seeing what it looks like, instead of what they were accustomed to.
