CITM

Integrative Medicine Doctor North Jersey — One Physician to Coordinate Every Specialist You See

If you're like a lot of North Jersey patients, your health isn't managed by one doctor – it's spread across a cardiologist in one town, an endocrinologist in another, a gastroenterologist somewhere else, and a primary care visit squeezed in between, with nobody actually looking at the full picture. CITM is an integrative medicine practice serving North Jersey – Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, and surrounding counties – built around a simple idea: someone should be coordinating all of it, not just adding to the list of providers you see.

Dr Roman Finn of CITM

Integrative Medicine Doctor North Jersey: Meet Dr. Roman Finn

Your care is overseen by Roman E. Finn, M.D., Medical Director of the Center for Integrative & Traditional Medicine. Dr. Finn has practiced traditional and alternative therapies since 1981, blending mainstream medicine with herbal medicine and homeopathy to treat conditions including immune system disorders, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, fibromyalgia, depression, and musculoskeletal disorders.

Dr. Finn’s background in internal medicine, combined with decades of integrative practice, is exactly the combination this kind of coordination requires – he’s trained to evaluate you the way a primary care physician would, but with the added lens of how complementary therapies fit alongside whatever your specialists have already prescribed.

How Integrative Care North Jersey Patients Get Started With Your Full Picture

Step 1 – A Complete Medical Review: Rather than treating you as a blank slate, your first visit starts with a full review of what’s already in motion: every specialist you see, every medication and supplement you’re on, and every diagnosis you’re managing. Nothing gets recommended in isolation from what you’re already doing.

Step 2 – Finding the Gaps and Overlaps: Many patients are surprised to learn that two of their treatments are working against each other, or that a symptom they’ve mentioned to three different doctors has never actually been connected to a single cause. This step is where that gets sorted out.

Step 3 – One Coordinated Plan, Not One More Opinion: Your integrative plan doesn’t ask you to drop your specialists – it sits alongside them, filling gaps with nutrition, stress management, acupuncture, or other complementary therapies where they add real value, and flagging anything worth raising with your existing providers.

Integrative Health North Jersey Patients Come In For

  • Managing three or more specialists with no one connecting the dots between their recommendations
  • Medication or supplement overload, where it’s unclear whether everything being taken is actually working together
  • Chronic symptoms without a clear diagnosis – fatigue, brain fog, digestive issues – that have been passed between specialists without resolution
  • Wanting complementary therapies added responsibly, under physician oversight, rather than trying them independently without medical context
  • A second opinion on a treatment plan that isn’t producing the results expected
  • Preventive, whole-person care for patients who are currently healthy but want ongoing oversight rather than only seeing a doctor when something goes wrong

Integrative medicine isn’t a replacement for your specialists – it’s the missing piece that connects them. At CITM, a licensed physician reviews your full history across every provider you’re seeing, identifies where treatments overlap, conflict, or leave gaps, and builds a plan that brings conventional medicine and complementary therapies together under one roof instead of leaving you to manage the connections yourself.

This matters more than it sounds like it should. North Jersey has excellent specialists, but excellent specialists are, by design, narrow. A cardiologist optimizes your heart. An endocrinologist optimizes your hormones. Neither one is responsible for noticing that your blood pressure medication and your thyroid treatment might be interacting with your sleep, your energy, and your weight all at once. That’s the gap integrative medicine is built to close.

I have been going to Dr. Finn's office for over 15 years and I am very happy with the services and treatment I receive. Dr. Finn always listens to his patients and tries to get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. I like that he always recommends using natural and alternative methods first instead of prescribing medications right away. I also go for a physical therapy at his office for my back problems. His physical therapist is very knowledgeable and massage therapists, Galina and Shirley, are the best! They always welcome me with the smile and are very attentive. I would not think of going anywhere else. Keep up a great job Dr. Finn and The Staff!!
