Holistic Internist Passaic County, NJ – Whole-Family, Whole-Patient Internal Medicine Care
Diabetes, high blood pressure, and thyroid issues have a way of showing up more than once in the same family, and by the time it is your turn, the pattern is usually already visible. A holistic internist looks at that pattern directly instead of treating your case as if it started from nothing. CITM provides that kind of care for Passaic County patients: one internist who considers your history, your labs, and what has already shown up in your family as connected, not separate.
Holistic Internist Passaic County: The Team Behind Your Plan
- Dr. Roman Finn, Holistic Internist and Integrative Physician, maps out your entire story and family health trajectory from your first appointment to all subsequent visits
Â
- Scott David Lippe, MD, in-house with Gastroenterology, joined the call when a symptom of the digestive system matched the bigger picture
Â
- Lev Vyshedsky, L.Ac, licensed acupuncturist, added when a complementary therapy supports your plan
Â
- Your plan stays with one internist of record, so a condition already present in your family is tracked, not rediscovered at every visit
When Family History Changes the Plan
Family history is more than a checkbox. Current guidelines tend to recommend screening children earlier than the standard age, and for more than just fasting glucose, when a parent has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes prior to age 50. The same applies to other thyroid problems, early heart disease, and some autoimmune diseases – not only that they may be possible, but when they are documented in the family, testing begins and results are monitored, the opposite is true.
How Dr. Finn Uses Your Family History
Family history is taken in detail on your initial visit at CITM and directly applied to your testing plan, rather than being stored as background information. If a patient has a history of a thyroid disease from a parent during their 40s, they might be screened differently than a patient who has not had thyroid disease in their family. When a patient has the care of a parent with a condition, he or she knows that context from the beginning, unlike starting from scratch.
It is here that coordinating more than one family member’s care becomes of practical use. In an inter-family perspective, one can see patterns across the family when Dr Finn is the internist of record for multiple family members, that would not become apparent in individual, disconnected visits.

The First 90 Days: What Actually Changes
Your first visit is not a one-off event; it’s a process that results in a handout. During the first few weeks, Dr. Finn will review your history and any documented family pattern, and will order only tests that fill in real gaps, but not tests you already had performed. Most patients have their first check-in by the 6–8 week mark, which is before anything has been declared as a settled issue. New labs are compared against where you began around the 90-day mark and compared to the pattern in your family that you already know, not in relation to how you feel that day.

I have been going to Dr. Finn's office for over 15 years and I am very happy with the services and treatment I receive. Dr. Finn always listens to his patients and tries to get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. I like that he always recommends using natural and alternative methods first instead of prescribing medications right away. I also go for a physical therapy at his office for my back problems. His physical therapist is very knowledgeable and massage therapists, Galina and Shirley, are the best! They always welcome me with the smile and are very attentive. I would not think of going anywhere else. Keep up a great job Dr. Finn and The Staff!!Posted on Google
