CITM

Holistic Internist Paramus North Jersey Trusts for Whole-Patient Internal Medicine

Internal medicine visits are often rushed: a symptom, a test, a prescription, the next patient. Holistic Internist operates differently. Your diet, sleep pattern, stress, and a full history are added to the clinical picture rather than idle conversation as you head out the door. With a holistic internal medicine practice based in Paramus, patients from all over North Jersey can find a doctor who connects the dots rather than focusing on one symptom at a time at CITM.

Dr. Finn Team behind Holistic Internal Medicine Plan

Meet the Team Behind Your Holistic Internal Medicine Plan

  • Dr. Roman Finn, Holistic Internist, Integrative Physician – guides whole-patient evaluation & root-cause treatment planning for chronic & unresolved symptoms

  • Gastroenterology Specialist – called in if there is likely a connection between digestive health and the larger pattern

  • Certified Naturopathic Practitioner – includes lifestyle and natural therapies to the medical plan

  • Certified Nutritionist – interprets laboratory reports and creates a nutrition plan that is tailored to your individual needs rather than a generic plan handed out

Holistic Internist is not a lone practitioner. Your case doesn’t get transferred between different offices where each individual involved doesn’t know what the other is working on.

North Jersey has plenty of internists. Finding a holistic doctor who even lets you know that the visit is time to talk, not talk and talk and talk, who’s willing to ask what else is going on more than once, and who takes your diet, sleep, and stress as data points, not as background noise is more challenging.

The Paramus Difference: An Integrative Internist Who Connects the Pattern

CITM receives the majority of cases from patients who have a pile of test results from other providers in Paramus, North Jersey. The holistic internist doesn’t begin any new ones. The first is to review all that has already been done and then determine what hasn’t been addressed: A hormone panel maybe ordered by the doctor, but not done by the patient, a gut health connection, maybe an inflammation marker was flagged, but not followed up.

I have been going to Dr. Finn's office for over 15 years and I am very happy with the services and treatment I receive. Dr. Finn always listens to his patients and tries to get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. I like that he always recommends using natural and alternative methods first instead of prescribing medications right away. I also go for a physical therapy at his office for my back problems. His physical therapist is very knowledgeable and massage therapists, Galina and Shirley, are the best! They always welcome me with the smile and are very attentive. I would not think of going anywhere else. Keep up a great job Dr. Finn and The Staff!!

Frequently Asked Questions: Holistic Internist Paramus North Jersey

What does a holistic internist do differently from a regular internist?

Holistic internist addresses a patient as a whole, rather than a single symptom. Diet, sleep, stress, and history take on a role in the clinical picture, and visits are designed to bring about a connection between patterns throughout one’s health and not just a single complaint and then on to another.

Look for specific and consistent signals, not marketing language. The true holistic internist isn’t in a hurry to see you, asks questions about other things more than once, talks about nutrition and exercise as part of the clinical picture, and has board certification and hospital affiliations that you can check.

Holistic internal medicine does not abandon the use of conventional diagnostics or the supervision of a physician, but instead builds upon these aspects with lifestyle and natural therapies.

Yes. Taking your history and lab results with you to the initial appointment reduces unnecessary testing and allows you to concentrate on other areas that may not yet have been explored.

One of the most frequently encountered reasons that patients visit a holistic internist. Standard reference ranges are based on the average of the population and do not reflect your personal baseline and/or the result is broad-band or functional testing may be incorporated into your testing plan.

No. A holistic internist coordinates with your specialists, looking at results from each system and seeing how they relate to one another in a way that a one-specialty visit doesn’t look at.

Yes. While the office is in Paramus, patients regularly come from across Bergen, Passaic, and Hudson Counties.

Initial visits run longer than a standard appointment, so calling ahead is recommended to secure a same-week booking when possible.
