Chronic Fatigue Doctor Paramus, North Jersey – Finding What's Actually Behind the Exhaustion

Most of the local remedies for fatigue are directed at one gland or are given as a supplement before an actual workup. Fatigue that has been present for months is seldom caused by one or just two factors; it's often two or three factors combined, and they don't present themselves until someone looks for them. At CITM, the process was the opposite: an evaluation before a plan, rather than a plan before an evaluation.

Dr Roman Finn Team Behind Your Fatigue Workup in Paramus

The Team Behind Your Fatigue Workup in Paramus

  • Dr. Roman Finn, board-certified internist, will be your doctor of record and will follow you throughout your treatment and throughout follow-up

  • Dr. Scott David Lippe, MD (gastroenterologist), is here in-house in case digestive complaints are a factor in your tiredness

  • Lev Vyshedsky, L.Ac., licensed acupuncturist, is added to your plan where it’s a genuine fit

  • Nutrition and lab review are not delegated to another group or division of medical care, but are done by the same team that provides medical care

What CITM Actually Checks Before Treating Your Fatigue

  • Thyroid function, beyond a single standard test. Many patients are fatigued here because they had a normal thyroid test, which is just one of many. Sometimes the whole story is different when looked at in detail.

  • Adrenal and cortisol patterns. Chronic stress response influences energy levels throughout the day and not just at one moment in time, as captured in a single blood draw.

  • Nutrient deficiencies. Fatigue can be caused by low levels of iron, B12, and vitamin D, amongst other vitamins and minerals, and can be treated effectively and easily if they are discovered.

  • Blood sugar regulation. If someone experiences fatigue, especially when eating or in the middle of the day, it may be a sign of what is going on with their glucose levels, even before they are diagnosed with diabetes.

  • Gut health. Digestive issues and chronic fatigue are often co-occurring, so they can be treated together, and that’s why gastroenterology is available in-house, not needing an outside referral.

  • Sleep quality and stress load. Even with everything else accounted for, unaddressed sleep or stress patterns can keep fatigue in place on their own.

Whole-Person Evaluation, Not a Single Gland

Whole-person evaluation means the fatigue is not taken for granted as coming from one particular source before the test is even performed. Everything from your history, current labs, and symptoms will be used, and testing will complete the missing pieces of the above if they have not already been ruled out. If more than one causes the issue, which is often the case, your plan will take into account more than one, not simply the obvious one and then that’s the end of it.

Holistic Health

A Fatigue Treatment Plan That Adjusts as Your Labs Change

Fatigue treatment is no quick cure. Dr. Finn adapts your plan directly as your labs change or your energy shifts, whether that’s modifying a medication dosage, adjusting a nutrition recommendation, or changing a therapy that is no longer required. No one expects you to follow the same directions for months and not see if they work.

I have been going to Dr. Finn's office for over 15 years and I am very happy with the services and treatment I receive. Dr. Finn always listens to his patients and tries to get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. I like that he always recommends using natural and alternative methods first instead of prescribing medications right away. I also go for a physical therapy at his office for my back problems. His physical therapist is very knowledgeable and massage therapists, Galina and Shirley, are the best! They always welcome me with the smile and are very attentive. I would not think of going anywhere else. Keep up a great job Dr. Finn and The Staff!!

Frequently Asked Questions: Chronic Fatigue Doctor in Paramus

What tests are actually involved in a fatigue evaluation here?

Testing may be more comprehensive than the standard thyroid panel and may include blood sugar regulation markers, blood markers for nutrients such as B12, iron, vitamin D, and cortisol, and adrenal markers, depending on your specific history.

Not necessarily. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a specific diagnosis. In many cases, however, the fatigue is found to be caused by a specific, treatable factor and is actually not a result of either of these conditions, which is why a complete work-up should be done before assuming either of these labels.

ontent

It depends on what is causing your tiredness and how it’s treated. Follow-up visits monitor your labs and symptoms, and adjustments are made immediately if something isn’t working, rather than after months.

Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue frequently share similar symptoms, and when relevant to your case, these are both treated during the same assessment.

Yes. Thyroid function is one of several areas evaluated here, not the only one. If your fatigue is caused by something other than your thyroid, a thyroid test alone from another doctor might have missed it.

You do not need a referral to make an appointment for your first visit.

Coverage varies based on the testing and the type of plan you have. You can check by calling (201) 291-0401, and the Office can confirm which apply to you prior to booking.

Diagnosis and testing are first. Nutritional and supplement recommendations are made based on lab results and not simply made as a starting point prior to an evaluation.
