Chronic Fatigue Doctor Bergen County – An In-Person Evaluation, Not a Video Call

Most of the local remedies for fatigue are directed at one gland or are given as a supplement before an actual workup. Fatigue that has been present for months is seldom caused by one or just two factors; it's often two or three factors combined, and they don't present themselves until someone looks for them. At CITM, the process was the opposite: an evaluation before a plan, rather than a plan before an evaluation.

The Team Behind Your In-Person Fatigue Evaluation

  • Dr Roman Finn, Board-certified Internist, examines you directly and serves as your doctor of record during the time of testing, treatment, and all follow-up care

  • Dr Scott David Lippe, gastroenterologist, is on staff to help you with digestive symptoms should they be causing your fatigue

  • Lev Vyshedsky, L.Ac., licensed acupuncturist, is added to your plan only where it’s a genuine fit

  • Labs are not sent to a separate portal, but rather are drawn and reviewed by the same team with whom you are receiving your care.

What an In-Person Evaluation Catches That a Video Visit Can't

  • A physical exam, not just a conversation. Dr. Finn can look for physical signs associated with fatigue that he can observe directly: thyroid enlargement, muscle tone, reflexes, etc., which do not show up as clearly on a screen.

  • Same-visit bloodwork. Instead of scheduling a lab through an outside lab days after your appointment, labs are drawn as part of your appointment, which eliminates delays between concern and answers.

  • Real-time observation. Dr. Finn doesn’t get as much context about that day, the color you wear, the energy you put out, and how you move as he would get from a video call or a report of symptoms.

  • In-house coordination without a referral gap. If gastroenterology and acupuncture are added, it is during one visit and within the same practice, not as an additional appointment that you have to book elsewhere.

  • A plan you can adjust on the spot. If there is a new symptom or side effect that you’re asking about, it is answered directly during your visit, instead of waiting on a message thread to get it answered.

Whole-Person Fatigue Care, In Person

Care for fatigue involves a whole-person approach, addressing thyroid function, adrenal functioning and cortisol levels, nutrient status, blood sugar regulation, gut health, and sleep quality in a comprehensive manner, rather than in isolation. If that evaluation is done face-to-face, then the results of your physical exam, your lab results, and your own description of what you’re experiencing all come together during that one visit, not after the fact from the various remote appointments.

A Fatigue Treatment Plan Adjusted Face-to-Face

Setting up a plan is not something you can do once and never do again, since a message is waiting in a queue with some new symptom. Changes occur directly with Dr. Finn in person as your lab changes or your energy shifts, such as changing a medication, revisiting an old nutrition recommendation, or ruling something out that isn’t working. Patients with a full appointment calendar in Bergen County often discover that the increased speed of the loop is indeed a big deal in the long term.

I have been going to Dr. Finn's office for over 15 years and I am very happy with the services and treatment I receive. Dr. Finn always listens to his patients and tries to get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. I like that he always recommends using natural and alternative methods first instead of prescribing medications right away. I also go for a physical therapy at his office for my back problems. His physical therapist is very knowledgeable and massage therapists, Galina and Shirley, are the best! They always welcome me with the smile and are very attentive. I would not think of going anywhere else. Keep up a great job Dr. Finn and The Staff!!

Frequently Asked Questions: Chronic Fatigue Doctor in Bergen County

Is this an in-person practice, or do you also offer virtual visits?

Assessment is conducted face-to-face at CITM. Besides the same-visit bloodwork, a physical exam is part of how your case is evaluated, which is not something a fully remote model can replace.

Fatigue can be associated with physical examination findings, such as thyroid examination, muscle tone, reflexes, which will be more obvious during a physical examination that cannot be as clear when described in a video symptom list.

Those programs can be valuable for some symptoms, but usually are not internal medicine evaluations conducted by a physician. Your diagnosis and treatment are handled directly by a board certified Internist at the CITM.

After. Labs check first, and recommendations for nutrition and/or supplementation are made based upon the actual findings from the tests.

Yes. All of these conditions are all considered to be addressed concurrently within a single evaluation and treatment plan.

No referral is necessary.

Coverage will vary depending on the testing done and the plan. Please dial (201) 291-0401 and check with the office what will apply to you prior to booking.

Patients frequently arrive from Hackensack, Ridgewood, Fair Lawn, Teaneck, Paramus, and other Bergen County towns.
