Chelation therapy Explained

Chelation Therapy (key-LAY-shun) is a medical treatment that improves metabolic and circulatory function by removing toxic metals, such as lead, cadmium, copper and iron from the body by intravenously administering a synthetic amino acid, ethylene-diamine-tetra acetic acid (EDTA) an FDA approved chemical compound. EDTA combines with certain metals and minerals, forming a complex, which is then eliminated by the body in the urine.
HOW WE CAN HELP

Benefits and Treatment

Each intravenous infusion of EDTA lasts approximately 3-4 hours.  At least twelve treatments are usually required for symptomatic patients.  Generally, one or two treatments are given each week with follow-up maintenance treatments administered as needed.

EDTA Chelation Therapy is administered by a physician in the context of a full therapeutic program involving dietary changes, nutritional supplements, exercise and stress management.
